Mia and Liam Tarabichi Abducted to Lebanon
Mia and Liam Tarabichi, ages 9 and 8, were abducted by their father Wissam Tarabichi to Beirut Lebanon.
They were visiting with their biological father Wissam Tarabichi for a one week-holiday from the 24th to the 31st March 2018.
Their mother, Shelley Beyak, was told he was taking them to Seattle and they would return to school on the 3rd April 2018.
Their mother soon found out, that Tarabichi had sold his house in Abbotsford and all of its contents, and severed all ties with Canada.
Shelley further discovered that Mia, Liam and Tarabichi had crossed the border from Abbotsford to the USA on the 24th March 2018. The following day they flew from Seattle to Paris and then onto Beirut. Tarabichi’s mother had already returned to Lebanon about 10 days earlier.
Lebanon is not a signatory to the Hague Convention, it will not co-operate with the return of the children to Canada.

Shelley has already spent more than $40,000 in legal fees since the children were abducted. Money that had been kindly donated through a GoFundMe account set up by a friend, they have been told it will cost at least $150,000 more.
The Canadian courts failed the children despite being warned an abduction was possible, they allowed the father to take them away on holiday. The airline concerned also failed by allowing the children to fly.
